Mission

Build a platform that empowers local communities with sufficiency, resiliency, and camaraderie.

This platform should offer a rich user interface that delivers comprehensive, concise, and cohesive resources to support each other, support local businesses, learn, reduce our dependance on corporate supply, and encourage positive community experiences.

The Problem/Opportunity

Supporting local community is more work than it should be. It is difficult to find local businesses, local events, local volunteer opportunities, and other general resources in a centralized manor that is up-to-date and comprehensive.

Currently, finding resources involves searching many web sites, subreddit's, face book groups, Next Door, etc. These resources are often broken or out-of-date. They tend to be static and are not usually community driven, are not very cohesive, and tend to emphasize paid promotions rather than sustainable community efforts.

Awareness and leadership are probably our biggest opportunities to increase community involvement.

The goal of this project

To deliver a Web Site, Android App, and iOS App that encourages the adoption, use, and expansion of local community while promoting sufficiency, resiliency, and camaraderie in the community.
